Dear Pastor,
Thank you for scheduling me for an exciting
presentation of What's Behind Left Behind. As
a friend and associate of Dr. Tim LaHaye I am
very close to the Left Behind phenomenon that
has and continues to sweep across America and
the world. The only book that outsells the Left
Behind series is the Bible itself. To date more
than 62 million people have read at least one
of the Left Behind books. My deep conviction
is that we are in the closing days of the world
as we know it and that Jesus is coming soon.
Regrettably the church of Jesus Christ seems
to have lost the urgency concerning His coming
and this I believe, is the primary reason God
is pouring out His spirit upon this vital message.
Since June of 2002 we have seen literally hundreds
of decisions being made in churches all over
America. In fact, we have not been in one single
church where people have not been saved! Let
me share just a few of these with you by way
of example and please feel free to contact these
pastors for their assessments of the days events:
Sagemont Church in Houston, 137; FBC Hendersonville,
TN, 134; Bell Shoals Baptist, Brandon, FL, 84;
Southcrest Baptist, Lubbock, TX, 100+; FBC Euless,
TX, 33; Colonial Hills Church, Southaven, MS;
86; Second Baptist Houston, TX;333!
These are just a few of the blessings we have
seen in recent days as the Spirit of our gracious
God moves in our midst. I can assure you I am
keenly aware it has nothing to do with me and
everything to do with His great love and compassion
for lost souls. However, we can do some things
to help in this effort and that is why I am
writing to you. I know your desire is to see
people saved and this one day can be a great
time of harvest if we get the word out and our
folks bring their lost friends and family. I
want us to milk the Left Behind name association
for all we can since it is readily recognized
even in the secular world.
I would like to ask you to appoint a staff
member or a lay volunteer to assist with this
day and do the following things. These are just
a few suggestions that will allow us to do our
human part all the while trusting, believing
and knowing that, The Lord is not slack concerning
His promise, but is longsuffering toward us,
not willing that any should perish but that
all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9.
* Enclosed you will find a CD with a promotional
poster advertising the day. You may take this
disc to a Kinko's or any local printer and they
can make as many as you desire and any size
you wish. Please get these up at church, all
local Christian bookstores and any place else
permitted. Please be sure that whoever puts
them up returns the Monday after to take them
down.
* Enclosed you will also find a video with
a short promo encouraging your people. I suggest
you show this beginning 4 weeks prior to my
being there. If you make it a priority your
folks will do the same. Please do not let this
be the "best kept" secret in town
for the kingdom's sake.
* Enlist counselors and have them trained and
ready to deal with those making decisions. I
would encourage you to have a special retraining
session so that those who have perhaps not worked
with anyone in a while might be encouraged and
reminded of the procedure. I do not want to
suggest that you do not have trained counselors
but in almost every church the pastor says afterward
that they just were not ready for so many decisions
all at once. I will be doing a crusade style
invitation where they will come and stand in
front of me. I will speak to them for a few
moments, pray with them and then send them to
the counseling area. Please have packets of
literature ready in chairs for each one. I would
urge you to consider having a free gift Bible
for each profession of faith to help them as
well as a Survival Kit or some other material
to get them started right. In addition why not
have the counselors go ahead and set up their
baptism that very evening prior to the service!
We have water, why not?
*Print up a bible prayer marker where your
folks can list the names of those they are going
to pray for and invite. One man at FBC Euless
had invited a co-worker to several different
things at church but his friend never came until
he mentioned something about "Left Behind".
At this the man said yes. He came and was saved.
If we work as though it all depends on us and
pray as though it all depends upon Him, great
things will happen! Call to me, and I will answer
you, and show you great and mighty things, which
you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3.
I am here to serve our Lord Jesus and if I can
do anything else to assist in this day of harvest
please call on me.
One final thing
please plan to have two
helpers for us at our product table. We will
need one eight-foot table plus a TV/Video player
on a stand at the table. We will bring our own
change box
I am praying for a powerful move of God, please
join me!
Until He Comes,
Dr. Gary D. Frazier
