Important
Message
Update on Israeli/Hamas Conflict
I know many are concerned about
the situation in Israel. Our prayers are with
the people of Israel who have suffered under the
constant threat of rockets being fired daily from
Gaza by the terrorist group Hamas. Since the pullout
from Gaza in 2005 Hamas has fired 6500 plus rockets
into Southern Israel. Since the phony cease fire
initiated June 19 there have been 543+ rockets
fired. This does not sound much like a cease fire
to me. All the while Israel has stood by and failed
to retaliate as its citizens were being fired
upon. Can you imagine what the Unites States response
would have been had rockets been fired at any
American city?
Therefore, Israel has now taken
steps to clean out Gaza. This effort will no doubt
result in the loss of life not only to Israeli
citizens and soldiers but to civilians in Gaza
and mostly to the terrorist killers. Sadly, there
is no way to get to the terrorist without harming
civilians due to the fact the terrorists are imbedded
within the civilian population. Therefore, our
prayers are not only for Israeli’s but innocent
Arabs who themselves are victims of the Hamas
terrorists.
That said, what about travel
to Israel for our groups? We have seven groups
in Israel as I write these words. I have been
in touch with each and every group and all have
had a great time and at no time has anyone sensed
any danger whatsoever. The reason is that the
danger zone is approximately 80 miles from Jerusalem
and very far from Tiberius and the north of Israel.
Please allow me to share our
position with regard to future groups primarily
those departing in February, March and April ’09.
First, I am relatively certain
based on many reasons that this conflict will
end in no more than two weeks. Please remember
the Lebanon War of July 2006 lasted only 31 days.
Second, in the event the conflict
is not over and has not spread to Israel proper,
all groups will continue to operate as normal.
Third, should the conflict spread
into Israel proper and we deem it is not safe
to travel we will refund all ground cost. However,
do keep in mind all of us are at the mercy of
the airlines and no one knows what their response
will be at this time.
Fourth, final payments for March
groups are due now and if these are not received
the cancellation penalty will be enforced and
we will lose our deposit with the airlines in
which case the traveler will receive no refund
of their deposit.

be prayerful as we move forward and rest assured
